Thanks for visiting! My name is Jim McCarthy, I Have been a Locksmith since 1985. I Got interested in safes shortly after that. I bought every book about safe opening and service that I could lay my hands on! I began collecting tools and equipment used in safe opening and service. Starting out with safe combination changes, then taught myself to open safes. I took classes at Lockmasters, Learned all about mechanical safe locks. Then came Electronic safe locks. First lagard electronic safe locks, then sargent and greenleaf electronic safe locks, and finally amsec made the entree into electonic safe locks. As a safe technician in connecticut and southern new england I have continued to hone my skills in the servicing of safes and locks throughout my services areas including rhode island , massachusetts as well.
